The penguin from the Schleich WILD LIFE themed world is an emperor penguin. He is the largest and heaviest of all penguins. In addition, he is the only one that lives so far south of Antarctica. Emperor penguins do not build a nest, but breed directly on the ice. When the female has laid her egg, she returns to the sea to dive for fish. The male incubates the egg. He puts the egg on his feet and tucks his tummy over it to keep it warm. Schleich's figures are faithfully reproduced to scale. All figures are painted by hand. In this way the figures always correspond to reality.
